POSITION: JUST GEORGIA FIELD ORGANIZER (PART-TIME)
The JUSTGeorgia Coalition is a coalition of organizations, organizers, and lawyers, working to transform the conditions of criminalization and racialized violence in the state. We envision a state with an engaged and informed electorate, and a strong, well-resourced, and connected social movement, wherein Black Georgians have control and self-determination over their lives and are free from racialized violence at the hands of the state and individuals. We hold two truths: (1) that many in our communities want to see that the killers of Ahmaud Arbery are accountable for the trauma they have inflicted on an entire community and (2) that our contributions must better equip Georgians to respond to the multiple systemic ills inflicting violence on our communities on a daily basis.
